Vset Restaurant Phuket: Our Favorite Spot!

VSet RestaurantNot far from our home in Chalong is the Chalong Pier, where I try to get a good walk in when Billy comes home from work every night. It’s so hot during the day that doing much outside is a bit of a challenge for Kaya and I, as we are very pale and get overheated easily. I think the best time to be out and about is in the early evening, which is when we go for our nightly walk
Our favorite hang out is right next to the pier. VBar is connected to Vset Restaurant and Kan Aeng@Pier, both of which are upscale restaurants. The bar is normally quiet and is more like a cafe and restaurant than a pub or bar.
Vset Restaurant
VSet RestaurantVset is a very family friendly place, which is why we go. It has tons of room for kids to run around. There is a live band playing most nights, and my daughter loves the koi that are in the pond near the band.
Vbar there is wifi along with a yummy tapas menu that includes garlic mussels, onion rings, and calamari. It’s reasonably priced and in a great location.

Vset Restaurant offers gourmet European inspired and fusian dishes prepared by Chef Ronnie. It’s the perfect place for a datenight or special occasion, or if you are on holiday. They have an extensive wine menu, and over at Vbar they have some great draft beer, including Stella.
Kan Eang @Pier is connected to Vbar and Vset and offers Thai style food. We eat there frequently and enjoy the fresh seafood.
If you happen to come to Phuket or live here, I highly recommend checking out these restaurants, even if you just pop in for a drink!
