Lochaber, The Outdoor Capital of the UK

Lochaber
We have begun looking for possible locations as to where we will settle down in the Highlands, and after spending some time on Right Move we saw a stunning place near Fort William. We had intended on being closer to Nairn, but after seeing the large house ( that was reasonably priced!) we decided to investigate Lochaber.
Lochaber is located in the West of the Scottish Highlands and as is considered by some to be the ‘outdoor capital of the UK’.  Fort William is the second largest town in the Highlands, after Inverness. It lies near the head of Loch Linnhe, which is one of Scotland’s longest sea lochs.

For us, we want to be immersed in nature and yet have the ability to be near a city or town that has some of the things we need and crave, such as a theater for Billy and some dance classes and such for Kaya. And for me, the foodie, some good restaurants and cafes. We also want to be near a library and other sorts of activities, museums and such. And Lochaber has all of this! Plus, the Harry Potter train. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I will be living in Hogwarts.
All I can say is I WISH I WAS THERE NOW.
