The World as a Classroom is a visual reminder of why children, and really everyone, learns best when they are out in the world, drinking in the beauty and wonder that surrounds us. The gorgeous photos in this book, showcasing the food, art, history and culture of South East Asia, made me want book flights for my whole family so we could have the same experiences, too. Family travel is a wonderful thing that allows families to spend more time together. It was by chance that my family ended up traveling as extensively as I did as a child, but I am incredibly grateful for the travel and experiences we have had together.
Whether you are interested in taking a short trip with your toddler, or an extensive unending voyage to a distant land, I hope to be able to assist you in any way I can. Travel, although sometimes stressful, has unending benefits that can challenge one’s views on life as well as enrich a child’s perspective on the world and their place in it. It can create unique friendships and an enjoyment of foreign foods. It is rewarding beyond belief!
The first worry parents have is if the trip at hand is affordable. Because of discounts and deals, it indeed can be. Doing your homework or hiring a passionate and professional travel expert can make sure you find flights in you budget, and with as few connections as possible ( you are going to want that, when traveling with kids…). Small family run hotels ( such as guesthouses) and inns can greatly help you save money and have a more intimate experience in the place you are choosing to visit.
Our family travel photobook The World As A Classroom: Adventures in Family Travel which shows photos from our voyages in the Italy, South Korea, Penang, and Thailand. The 68 page book is available in ebook and hardcover, as well as softcover. We hope it encourages families to travel!
As somewhat experts in the arena of traveling internationally with children, we speak on the topic and help both travelers and travel specialists come up with the best experience for a family to enjoy.
